Eurostar announces more seats to the slopes

By popular demand, Eurostar opens sales for additional ski trains
 
Eurostar is providing another chance for skiers to take the train to the slopes, with additional services on sale today for the peak school holiday period during February half term 2017.
 
The services to the French Alps offer a hassle-free journey, taking winter sports fans direct from platform to piste and offering a generous baggage allowance including two suitcases plus hand luggage and skis or snowboards at no extra cost.
 
The extra ski trains come in response to popular demand with the original half term services. The four extra services will follow the usual timetable – with two outbound trains departing London on a Saturday night, whisking travellers up to the mountains in time for a Sunday morning on the slopes.  The journey home will depart on Sunday mornings, arriving in London that afternoon, with return fares from £309.

About Eurostar

1. Eurostar is the high-speed train service linking St Pancras International, Ebbsfleet International, Ashford International, Paris, Brussels, Lille, Calais, Disneyland Resort Paris, Lyon, Avignon, Marseille and the French Alps.

The current Eurostar train was first introduced into service in 1994 carrying 750 passengers and operating at speeds of up to 300kph.  Since then, the fleet of 28 trains has carried more than 150 million passengers between London and the Continent.  Following their refurbishment these trains will continue to form a core part of the Eurostar fleet. The new e320 will carry around 900 passengers at speeds of up to 320kph.
