Wednesday 20th April 2022, London, UK: Eurostar, the high-speed passenger rail service connecting the UK and mainland Europe, is launching a week-long promotion today. Running from the 20th to 26th April 2022, the promotion opens up summer ticket with seats from just £39 one way for travel between 4th May to 24th August 2022.
As the pandemic put many summer getaway’s and festivals on hold throughout 2020 and most of 2021, Eurostar travel experts predict a rise in excitement for small, intimate festivals around Europe this year. With 68,000 tickets on offer for travel from London to Paris, Brussels, Lille or Rotterdam travellers can enjoy a summer city break to discover a mini festival for less.
Eurostar offers seamless city-centre to city-centre travel and a generous baggage allowance with no weight restrictions. Travellers can book with confidence knowing that all tickets –including all fare types -are flexible, with no exchange fee up to 7 days before departure, offering peace of mind should plans change.

UK
The Pig Smoke and Uncut Festival – various dates
The Pig, which is a chain of boutique hotels are situated in beautiful locations around the South of England. The Pig is well-known for its incredible homegrown, local and 25-mile radius menus and the Smoke and Uncut Festival is their ethos personified. With different dates at each venue, there are plenty of acts to choose from, with Lulu, Sister Sledge, Supergrass, Jools Holland and more playing.
Hampton Court Palace Festival – various dates 11-25th June
Set in the stunning grounds of Henry VIII’s famous castle, the Hampton Court Palace Festival is a gorgeous, intimate festival where you can picnic and listen to music from some of the greats. UB40, Elbow and Crowded House are part of the line-up during the month of June.

Festival Django Reinhardt – 23-26th June
This will be the 42nd running of Festival Django Reinhardt, the jazz filled music festival that is based in Fontainebleau, an hour and a half outside of Paris. Key headliners include, Jamie Cullum, MAGMA, Meldy Gardot and more.
Fête de la Musique – anywhere in France 21 June
The Fête de la Musique, also known in English as Music Day, Make Music Day or World Music Day, is an annual music celebration that takes place on 21 June. The famous day falls on a Tuesday this year, so the likelihood of discovering great entertainment and music in the streets of most French towns will be on the weekend prior (18-19th June). In Paris, many stages pop up in all the squares around the city to hear local bands play.
Belgium
Core festival – 27-28th May
Tomorrowland & Rock Werchter - two of the world's most renowned festivals have joining forces to create a completely new festival in Brussels, CORE Festival. The two-day boutique festival will take place on the beautiful Osseghem Park in Brussels the last weekend of May. You can catch acts such as Jamie XX, DJ Harvey, Stormzy and more.
Flower Carpet Festival - 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 August 2022
Every two years, the non-profit association Tapis de Fleurs brings together a committee of professionals (illustrators, graphic designers, landscape architects) to Brussels to celebrate summer flowers in August. The Flower Carpet is 70 m long by 24 m wide. 1,680 m2 of begonias, dahlias, grass and bark, which a hundred volunteers assemble in Grand-Place in less than eight hours. Lights, fireworks and celebrations occur during the five days the instillation is live for.
Rotterdam
Vlindertuin Festival – 14th May
Vlindertuin Festival or in English ‘the Butterfly Garden Festival’ is a refreshing newcomer to Rotterdam’s interesting festival scene. The intimate festival will host a line-up of dance and house music as well as great food trucks and wine bars. The festival also aims to make a big step towards creating a more sustainable event experience.
Rotterdam Art Week – 18-22nd May
A week long festival for art lovers, the city is buzzing with established and upcoming artists with special openings, exhibitions in the museums and art institutions, fairs, lectures, tours, performances, debates, pop-up shows, festivals and musical events.
